This Osha is one of the newest ones that opened in San Francisco. It's decor is more lounge/club like than that of a typical Thai restaurant.

The food is one of the best I've ever had. Notice I didn't say it was the most authentic, but it was really really satisfying. As soon as I bit down on the juicy duck that was part of the Osha pan-fried noodles, I was in heaven. The garlic pepper chicken was a bit powerful. It's not for the faint of heart. But for someone like me that love garlic, it was superb. Just make sure you don't plan on kissing anyone after the garlic dish

I would have have rated the atmosphere a 4 if it wasn't for the loudness in the restaurant. There must be a lack of design for acoustics because my ears started hurting sitting where we sat (in the middle of the restaurant) OK, maybe it wasn't so bad, but it was definitely uncomfortable. And forget about carrying a normal conversation in that environment. This is not a place I would take a date, unless he or she enjoys talking in a very loud voice.

I must begin by saying that the hostess was terrible. I have never been treated with such rudeness at any restaurant. Fortunately the waiters were ok but the food was good. Definitely a more Westernized version of Thai food but done well.
