QQ Noodle is one of the best tasting Chinese noodle houses in the SF Bay Area. The noodles are hand-made and have a very chewy consistency. Don't worry, the chewy consistency comes from pulling the dough many times and it is the desired outcome. The name of the restaurant "Q Q" is actually a word used to describe the chewy consistency in Chinese. To show the noodles are really hand-made, the chef does not cut the noodles in the making process, but instead, asks the patrons to cut it to his/her desired length with a pair of scissors on the table.

The dish that I had was the spicy and sour dry noodles and it was fantastic. It was a just a bit too sour for my taste, but then again, the noodle is the signature ingredient, and it really enhances the eating experience. I also tried the pork with garlic paste, and as a garlic lover, I really savored every bite of that.

When we went to QQ, there was only one waitress that covered about 10 - 12 tables. Clearly, that was too many tables for one waitress to serve. Go to QQ if you want real quality hand-made noodles, but expect the service to be slow. I'd go back again in a heartbeat if I was in the area.

Ordered noodle with sour and spice source. The homemade source was composed of patato, carrot and ground pork. Very tasty. But a little salty to me. I guess I will try the rib soup noodle next time.

The noodle here is freshly made. You can order dry noodle with different type of sauces or noodle soup. To get a good taste of the noodle itself I prefer noodle soup with a light clear broth. I ordered the noodle soup with rib broth. The noodle was fresh and slightly chewy and the rib broth was very flavorful. The walls are painted too green for my liking and the service is only so-so. But I would come back again for the great taste.

You will know why it is called QQ after you tried its fresh hand-made noodle. The house special noodle soup is quite authentic. I didn't feel like eating when i ordered but the soup was so nice that it whet my appetite and i almost finished all.
