Suppenkuche (San Francisco)

3/5 stars Taste: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price:   $20

Very traditional German food (so I've been told)! It's well prepared. Heavy, comfy, and authentic. Try their large selection of 20 drafts.

The restaurant is on the loud, but in a fun kind of way. But at the same time, the decor gives you the warm and cozy feel. If you want privacy and a romantic night out, the long shared long pine tables will not give you that.

Reservation or not, the wait is VERY VERY long!

Butterfly, The Embarcadero (San Francisco)

4/5 stars Taste: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price:   $40

I tried the Dine about Town menu.

Appetizer
caramelized maui onion soup with chinese bacon and cabot cheddar
(Good, but nothing extraordinary)

Entrée:
1. ponzu grilled hanger steak with a stir fry of portobello mushrooms and sweet peas, and cabernet jus de veau
(Just ok)

2. young tumeric grilled snapper on a bed of caramelized onions with rice noodles and nuoc cham dipping sauce
(Very Good. Snapper was served in a clay pan, kept it nice and warm)

Dessert:
1. warm chocolate torte with coffee ice cream and raspberries
(Very Good, but nothing extraordinary)

2. classic crème brulée with berries
(Very Good, but nothing extraordinary)

Overall, I would recommand to go there for the waterfront view of but not to go there for the food.

Plouf (San Francisco)

4/5 stars Taste: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Price:   $35

They offer varieties of steamed clams and mussels. I had the clams and they were amazing! (But I could be bias because I love clams in any shape or forms.) Oysters were on the small side but still fresh and yummy. Pommes frittes is crispy and best if you dip them in the clam juice.

Service was average but friendly. They were a little eager to clear out your plate of shells but it's better that they are out of sight then piling up.

Morton's -The Steakhouse (San Francisco)

5/5 stars Taste: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price:   $65

Your menu is a waiter-driven cart with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. You may find it fascinating or you may be turned off by the raw meat. But, it's got to be one of the best steak house in town! If you love steak, you need to give this place a try.

Service was excellent! Of course, for the price you are paying, you better be getting some good service.

KOO (San Francisco)

4/5 stars Taste: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price:   $30

This place is modern and has a nice ambiance suitable for a night out with your special someone or even a small group of friends.

Staff is friendly and service is great.

It's got creative fusion dishes that's innovative. Try their small plates. It's not your everyday Japanese food. It's quality!

Santa Ramen (San Mateo)

2/5 stars Taste: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Price:   $10

If you want a hot bowl of authentic ramen and don't mind the wait, this is the place. Roasted pork w/ Pork flavor broth is the best. During dinner, they serve side dishes like grilled chicken wings and chicken gizzards. If you are adventurous, they are worth a try.

This is a small noodle shop with few seating. If you go during lunch/dinner rush time, there's always a wait. So get there earlier. If you go later, they sometimes run out sometimes.

Sogo Bakery (Cupertino)

3/5 stars Taste: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Price:   $15

Not too pricey and good quality for the value. The cakes are usually not too sweet. If you have a super sweet tooth, this may not be the place.
